Sally Lindsay is back for the fourth series of the comedy crime drama

The fourth series of The Madame Blanc Mysteries will soon air on Channel 5 with former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay returning to her role.
The Channel 5 crime-comedy-drama first came to viewers' screens in 2021 and was created by Sally Lindsay and Sue Vincent. Three series and a Christmas special later, and viewers will soon be treated to another dose of the drama.

Sally takes on the role of Cheshire antiques dealer Jean White, who is the lead character of the show. The show follows her as she helps solve mysteries and deaths in the village of Sainte Victoire in the south of France.
Explaining the plot for Series 4, producers of the show said: "Sally Lindsay returns to Sainte Victoire as antique dealer and sleuth Jean White in Series 4 of The Madame Blanc Mysteries. Following their heartfelt confession at the end of season 3, Jean and her sidekick Dom [Steve Edge] are quietly navigating a blossoming but secret romance.
"With her growing reputation as a crime-solving expert and her deep knowledge of antiques, Jean teams up with Police Chief Inspector André Caron to unravel a series of mysteries.
"As more cases emerge and an old friend reappears, will Jean and Dom be able to keep their relationship intact amid the chaos?"
The first episode of The Madame Blanc Mysteries Series 4 will air at 9pm on Thursday, March 20 on Channel 5. After that, the remaining five episodes will air in the same timeslot over the coming weeks. It will also be available to watch on the Channel 5 streaming service.

Speaking to the RadioTimes about the upcoming fourth season, Sally Lindsay said: "We open with two 75-year-old hotties on jet skis flying across the Mediterranean, and then they find a dead body. So, I don't think I've seen that on television before. I hope I haven't.
"And my husband's done an amazing Hawaii Five-0 riff to it. So, that's what I want everyone to start off with. But, actually, the edit's come out really well. We've got some brilliant actors, brilliant friends in it again, so yeah, I'm very proud."
Where have you seen the cast before?
Stockport born Sally Lindsay, who leads the cast, is best known for her role in Coronation Street as Shelley Unwin. She first joined the ITV soap in 2001 before making the decision to leave in 2006. Sally also won "Best Actress" in the 2005 Inside Soap Awards.

Steve Edge is an actor, writer and former stand-up comedian, known for his roles in Benidorm, Peep Show, Peter Kay's Phoenix Night's and Starlings.
This new series has a host of star studded guest appearances, with the likes of Paul Chuckle, who rose to fame with his brother Barry Chuckle on children's TV show, Chucklevision. Les Dennis will also make an appearance, nine years after his last stint as Michael Rodwell on Coronation Street.
Speaking of soaps, EastEnders actor Richard Blackwood will also be showing up on viewers' screens, after officially leaving Hollyoaks where he has starred as Felix since 2020.
